Distance Reveals

There is a point where the landscape stops being something you pass through, and becomes something you absorb. The rider moves alone. What cannot be explained is captured. What cannot be captured is carried within.

Odyssey exists in that space.

From a directorial perspective in remote locations or in constructed environments designed to feel distant, filmmaking becomes an odyssey. The visual language emerges from technical expertise and instinctive aesthetic research, translating emotion into image and perception.

For this project, vintage lenses adapted to modern cameras were used to create a softer, organic image with warmth and optical imperfection. A vintage broadcast parfocal zoom enabled long zoom-outs, placing the subject within vast, desolate landscapes and reinforcing isolation.
